I hit the wall

By Next in line

Dam this flu. Last night I reached the end. I went to prenatal class and checkup and collapsed. They told me, that I looked terrible and needed to rest more and I am losing weight instead of gaining. My midwife says she thinks everything is fine and I am having a baby that is the right size for me, but I should have another ultrasound to be sure.  F was still really sick and I came home and we cried in our separate rooms. Then sometime during the night my throat started to hurt ( I think from crying) and then I cried more because I thought I was getting sick.

I was supposed to go back to work today, but I emailed my supervisor and told her I am done. I am too worn out and overwhelmed. I was supposed to work this week and three days next week. I am hoping that sick days will cover this time, but either way I can’t do it anymore. Taking care of the house, F and the dog while being so scared about  mine and juniors health was too much. I also realized it will also take F a while to get better.

My throat feels better today and I feel like a weight is being lifted off my shoulders. I wasn’t planning on leaving work this early, but I feel so much better. Today is the first day that F and I are allowed to be in the same room and she is considered non-contagious. It is also the first day she has been awake.

OMG, this is just too much for anyone to be going through in the last month of pregnancy. My heart just broke a little for you thinking of all the stress you are under and the fear you are facing with F being sick and all you are carrying on your shoulders. Good for you to quite work early. You just need to relax as much as possible and take care of yourself and the baby at this point.
Do you have some friends who can make some meals to bring over? Walk the dog for you? I would totally do that for you if I lived near you.
Please take it easy! You are so near the end.
    xoxo

I’m so glad you have given up work early, I think there is far to much stress around you right now and that is the one thing that can give. Good call! I’m glad also that you were able to spend some time in the same room – yay for not being contagious anymore, I hope you both get to sleep a little easier and that you can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Boy you two have a lot on your plates right now. I am really happy to hear you decided to take this time off. I mean really, it’s just time and you won’t regret taking it but if something were to happen, I know you would regret not taking the time. I’m very relieved to hear you aren’t sick but poor F, she sounds terrible. TERRIBLE! Thank goodness you two finally get to spend some time together, that might make both of you feel a little better.

Sending you both lots of loves and get well wishes for F too.
