I am a girl on the go and not really a stay at home mama at all. My latest experiment was breastfeeding while on the skytrain. The Bee was in the ergo while I was buzzing around the city when she got a rumble in her tummy. We were on the skytrain. I loosened some straps and shuffled us around in there and it worked perfectly. I was wearing a nursing tank from Glamourmom and zip up hoody, which made it easier. We only had a short ride and she hadn’t finished nursing when it was time to get off the train, so I tightened the straps up and she nursed while I walked. It pretty much rocked. I did find using the infant insert with the ergo awkward at first, but I am used to it now. I haven’t yet had to go pee in a public washroom while out with her alone in the ergo. I am sure one day I will get to experiment with peeing while wearing her in an ergo. I hope that is as successful. I am not entirely sure. Have you peed while wearing an ergo? What other breastfeeding experiments have you tried?

About me….
When two girls started planning to have a baby one happily accepted the baby making role and the other starting bragging about being a 'husband.' This 'husband' is not very manly at all, but was dreaming of drinking beer and slapping other husbands on the back.
We started with high hopes and my best girl stepped up to the plate. After a heroic effort, 8 IUIs,a few rounds of clomid, a laparoscopy and still no pregnancy, a new plan was needed.
Now at 37, I was next in line and stepped up to give this whole baby making business a try. After a few failed attempts I bit the bullet and did IVF. Luck was on our side and we had a baby on the way.
Now I am still here blogging, raising a toddler and loving this online community.-

I think it’s great that you managed to BF her on the go. Nutella and I enjoy seeing moms doing that, while also feeling bitter that Miles was NOT that kind of infant you could do that with. Lordy. Anyway, we didn’t start using the ergo until he was 15 pounds and at that point, though we didn’t try it, I imagine it would’ve been impossible to pee with it on while wearing him (we’re both short and he was big). I don’t even want to picture how messy that would’ve been. lol.
That is awesome! I could never do it, because I am just not that talented! oh and there is the whole twins thing that would get in the way. I have peed while wearing a baby in the moby which I think is the equivalent of your ergo. Worked like a charm and I didn’t have to wake him up! Though his feet are wrapped in the moby and I think in the ergo they dangle so I’m not sure how that would work. lol Good luck!
I am mucho impressed! I have not yet attempted in the least to b/f in public, and C is so agressive and loud while eating that I don’t think we would be as successful. Closest we have come is eating in car while parked in a parking lot…

I had to pee on a hike with He-man sleeping on me. I little wobbly but I like to hug trees so it all worked out.

You definitely are a breastfeeding rockstar. I love the different challenges of bf’ing in public. It always feels so good to do so successfully, and I love this story!
We don’t yet have an Ergo, but I do wear BG in a Moby and a Sleepy Wrap when we’re in public, and I have peed with him in the wraps on a number of occasions. Usually J will come into the bathroom with me so that she can help me pull my pants back up, but there was a time when I was wearing slacks that zipped on the side, and could barely reach the zipper to unzip them–and she hadn’t come in with me. When it came to zipping them back up, I was completely stuck because the baby was in the way. Luckily, my wife was nearby. I learned a valuable lesson about which clothes one should wear with the wraps in public.

Yay! Mrs Bean will bf while walking around the lake – Kai likes to nap and nurse while in the wrap. I’ve peed with her in the wrap…just make sure you can reach the toilet paper before you sit down.
