Never saw that coming

She went to bed without nursing. Tonight is the first time I have ever put her to bed without her asking for milk. Occasionally when I put her down for a nap she has skipped it, but never at bedtime. She still nursed twice today, she is not done, but things are changing. I have always assumed that she would nurse until college. Maybe not?

It had to happen…

and it finally did. I can no longer eat like a teenage boy.

I ate a lot pregnant, but still nothing compared to the amount  I ate the first year of nursing. Wow did I eat and wow did she ever nurse a lot. I ate in the middle of night and all day. I ate snacks before going out to eat because restaurant portions were not big enough. Even after snacking and eating out I still would have  snacked again before bed. I can not believe how much I ate.

Now, all of a sudden, I need to eat less so my pants will still fit. I have been eating for two for 32 months (9 months of pregnancy plus 23 months of  nursing) . That is a long time. She is still nursing, but much less.  It is time to develop a new super power. I am thinking it will be standing on head. I did that today in yoga and it was super fun.

Monkeying around
